結構早い段階でできていたのですが、公開するタイミングを逸しており今に至ります。

AGPというかChallengeそのものにも久々の参加のような気がします。最近仕事が予想外に忙しく、DTワークだけでいっぱいいっぱいでした。

2FrolleinのBlog Hopにお誘いいただいたときも「忙しすぎて無理～！」というのが本音でした。2fでなかったら断っていたと思います。メンバーが豪華すぎて断るわけにはいかないと奮起しましたが…。

仕事が忙しいのはmillion momentsのせいです。今月中に50万DLいくかも。まだ成長過程ですがすごくいいアプリなので応援よろしくお願いします！

Here is my layout for Artists' Garden Place challenge #24.
The color for this challenge is "blue" and the word is "cool", so I made a layout with pictures in which my daughter enjoys water in a paddling pool.

My daughter is in her "best vest ever" - her grandma (my MIL) hand-knitted it.
She likes knitting and crocheting very much and sometimes she makes something for her grandchildren.

For this layout I used almost no embellies. I love using patterned paper and I always forget to think about embellies :P

娘の「ベストなベスト」です。義母が編んだものです。義母は編み物が好きで、たまにこうやって孫たちの物もつくります。

今回のLOにはエンベリをほとんど使いませんでした。PPを使うのが好きすぎて、いつもエンベリについて考えるのを忘れてしまいます（笑）

My son and a cake for his birthday - a problem happened!
What do you think the problem was like? I wrote a journal about it (in Japanese).

The answer is:
He didn't like his cake!
I don't know why, but he won't eat his cake. So his dad made his face messy with cream, in order to take a "first-birthday-like photo".

By the way, 1 month after the day in these pics, he had a chance to eat some cake again, and he ate so much.

This month's twist is to use mesh, and here is the sketch:

今回のTwistはメッシュを使うことでした。

息子の１歳の誕生日の写真を使ったLOをつくりました。
ジャーナルにも書いたのですが、この時、思わぬ問題が…

なぜか、息子がケーキを食べたがらなかったのです。
それで夫が、せめて写真だけでもということで、クリームを顔のまわりにつけて、こんな捏造写真を（笑）

甘いものがニガテだなんてさすが男子！と思ったのですが、結局その１ヶ月後のクリスマスケーキはしっかり食べたので、ケーキが嫌いというわけではなさそうです。

Baby

These days I've been busy at work - so many things to do, so many people to meet (but I had an exciting day today - I met the designer for My 365 app. I'm an Android user and am looking forward to My 365 for Android.), and what is worse my daughter caught a cold and I had to look after her.

But I didn't forget to make a layout for the sketch #67 for Sketchabilities - I love it, though it seemed too difficult for me at first:

娘が小さかった頃の写真を使いました。
もう今では、以前はこんなに小さかっただなんて信じられません。その上、それがたった3年前だなんて。
時が経つのも、子供が成長するのもはやいものです。

This time I tried to be a minimalist.
It was not easy - I placed and replaced paper pieces again and again.

I love this title, "Things are only impossible until they're not".
When I have a problem these words make me a bit relaxed.

And it goes great with these pics. A baby grows up way too fast.
Even though something seemed to be impossible for him yesterday, he can do it today.

今回はできるだけミニマルデザインにしようと頑張りました。結構難しくて、何度も紙を置いては眺め、また配置を変え、を繰り返しました。

このタイトルも結構好きです。日本語にうまいこと翻訳できないんですが、無理やり訳すと、「物事は、不可能じゃなくなるまでの間だけ不可能」
…不可能でなくなるまでの、たったそれだけの間だけが不可能なんだよ、という、日本語にするとよくわからないフレーズではありますが、仕事に行き詰まったときに思い出すとうれしいフレーズです。

子供もそうで、きのう無理だと思っていたことが今日できるので、すごいと思う一方、大変です。

My daughter dressed up on my brother's wedding, and she looked so girly.
She seemed she was enjoying her dress, but she didn't like to have flowers on her head.

3 DT layouts are enough to keep me busy, but this month I made the 4th layout for Pages of My Book #16.
They have Rahel Menig as a guest designer this month - Rahel's creations are so inspiring and I'm addicted to her style. So I thought I must be in!

For the banner part, I curved a stamp by myself. See this post for a bit more about this stamp.

The title is "beauty is in the heart of the beholder" - whenever I see my daughter, this phrase comes up to my mind. She might not be beautiful for other people, but for me she's absolutely beautiful, especially when she shows me such beautiful (and sometimes funny) smile.


I love their inspiration board as always:

毎月3つのDTワークって、会社員な私には結構きついんですが、今月はPMBのゲストデザイナーがRahelとあって、4つめのLOをつくり頑張って参加してみました。
Rahel好きなんです。どれぐらいかって、ブログのサイドバーから彼女のブログにリンクを貼ってしまうぐらいに。

タイトルのバナー部分は消しゴムはんこを自分でつくりました。
あ、このタイトル。どうしても娘の写真を使いたかったんですが、あいにくBeautyとは対極に位置するようなひょうきん者なので、苦肉の策…「美は見る人の心に」。
いや本当に、かわいいと思うんです。親の目線から見ると。いいタイトルだと思います（笑）

インスピレーションからはインクのスプラッター（ちょっと失敗）とバナーをいただきました。
色も、黒＋青緑だと思ったんですが、結果としてLOのほうは青緑というより水色っぽくなり、全然違う雰囲気になってしまいました。

My daughter's first haircut - I bought a book titled "haircut at home" and I cut off her hair.

I loved her new style, and so she loved.

Teachers at her nursery school asked me "did she go to a hair salon?" and I (proudly) answered "no, she had her hair cut by me".

I used a pie chart to show how I felt after haircut - kawaii (cute) / yatta (I did it) / niau (looks nice) / mijikai (short).

I think I did a great job, lol, and since then I sometimes cut her hair. Snip snip...

Sketchabilities #65のLOは娘の初めてのヘアカット後の写真を使いました。

おうちカットの本を買って、自分でばっさりやってみました。結構自分では気に入っています。娘も気に入ってくれました。

円グラフにはそのときの心境を。はさみの絵が入っていたからヴィンテージの型紙もLOに使いました。

保育園で先生たちに「美容院行ったんですね」なんて言われて、「いや、自分で切りました」と自慢げに答えたりなどして楽しみました（笑）

その後もたまに切ってます。

The twist for February is using something green - this month's twist is by me.

The pics on this layout, especially ones on the right and center are my favorites. Needless to say I love seeing my children be happy together :)

In November we went to a photo studio to take photos for my son's first birthday.
But he looked worried in an unfamiliar place.

On the other hand, his older sister (who was supposed to be a second fiddle that day) had a great time there. She enjoyed posing, changing her clothes, and then posing again, like a model.

The sketch this time is elegant, so I chose soft colors for my layout.
I enjoyed spraying glimmer mist randomly on the mistable trim.

sketchabilities #64のLOです。

11月に息子の1歳の誕生日写真を撮りに行ったときの写真です。
息子はどうも、初めての場所でご機嫌があまりよくなく…

逆に、本来脇役のはずの娘が大はりきりで、最初は緊張していたものの、徐々にポーズをとったり、着替えたりと、モデル気分を満喫していました。

今回のスケッチはエレガントな雰囲気だったので、やわらかい色合いにしてみました。
Pink Paisleeのトリムにグリマーミストをランダムに振ったのですが、これが結構楽しかったです。スプレー1回ごとに表情が変わり、後戻りできない緊張感もあり…。

ペーパーを折りたたんで中に写真を貼るのは、「ハッピーフォトグッズ」という本に載っていたエミーさんのレイアウトからヒントをいただいています。随分前に買った本ですが、久しぶりに引っ張り出してみると新たな発見があるものです。

自分のスタイルはsimple & messy（またの名を手抜き）だと思っている私ですが、今回ちょっとsimple & cleanを目指してみました。
白背景にすればどうにかなるかと思ったんですが、うーん。私やっぱりもうちょっとごちゃごちゃさせたくなってしまいます。
ちなみに、白背景に白いエレメントっていいなーとこのLOを作っていて思ったのですが、白い星見えますか？newの文字は見えると思いますが…

Here is my take on AGP challenge #18.
My son and his new stuffed toy, Harry - it's a hedgehog and we named it after "hari" (Japanese word means needle). He loves it so much and gives it many hugs and kisses.

In this layout I folded the photo mat and put another photo inside it. This idea came from a Japanese book "Happy photo goods", which I bought some years ago.

I think my style is "simple & messy", but this time I tried to make my layout "simple and clean". I used white for background and I thought it would make the layout look clean, but hmm...

My daughter's 3-year-old celebration - in Japan, parents with children of 7, 5 or 3 years old  celebrate their children's growth in November (the celebration is called 753). Children usually wear kimono (Japanese traditional dress) and go to a shrine with their parents and/or grandparents.

It was her first time to wear kimono. At first she was so excited, but soon got tired. (Being in kimono is a hard work!)
Anyway, the photographer did a great job and succeeded in shooting her smile :)

Crafty Sketchesのほうは、娘がブラウニーを食べている写真ですが、こういう、口のまわりが汚れる系のものを食べてる瞬間って写真に撮るのが楽しいです。

SWATのほうは、記録用LOです。こんな写真がなかったら、「昔はどんな感じだったんだっけ？」っていうのはすっかり忘れてしまうほどに、子供の成長は早いですね。

息子はまだまだ赤ちゃんですが…。

When I bought new shoes, my daughter found them and then tried them. I was lucky enough to capture her trying my shoes - soon she got bored with the shoes and went away.

写真は息子の初節句です。

インスピレーションは季節的にも感謝祭っぽいなぁと思いつつも、日本人なので感謝祭には無縁だし…と悩んだ結果、祭つながりで、成長に感謝できて、何となく写真の中に今回のインスピレーションと合いそうな色があったという初節句を選びました。季節はずれですね。
