なぜか、ものすごくおいしい展開になった！
･･･というお話です。

畏れ多くも、あのsnowさんに、12インチLO交換のお声掛けをいただきまして、「何このおいしい展開！」と一人でウキウキしておりました。

そして、先にsnowさんから作品が届いたのですが、予想どおりのかわいらしさ！

ひととおり喜んだ後、どんよりしました。
私･･･このプレッシャーに勝てない･･････！！（笑）

でも結局悩んでどうにかなる問題ではないので吹っ切れました。
人生初の2ページLOをつくりました。

雷雨のあとに宝くじを買うために車をとめていたときの写真、だそうです。
宝くじの結果は聞いていないのですが、こんなきれいな夕日が雷雨の後に見られるなんてそれだけでラッキーだと思ったので、それをそのままタイトルにしています。

I set up a private swap for 12 inch layouts with Snow. The happy birthday pages above were created for me by snow. I love the pages, and I'm sure now you can see that she's so talented.

And I created a 2-page layout for her. It was the first time for me to make a 2-pager.
Snow told me the story about her pics - it was a stormy day in February, she parked her car to buy some lotto and there she saw this beautiful sunset.

I don't know if she won the lotto or not, but I think she was lucky enough to see this beautiful sunset after the heavy rain has gone away.
And I was lucky enough to have her as my swap partner :-P

12インチ交換会用のLOです。
この男子！かわいい！ということでテンションあがりまくりでした。

好きなように作ってと言われたので本当に好きなように作らせていただきました。
ミシンかけまくりです。

気に入ってもらえるとうれしいです。

handmade earrings

I made a pair of earrings. I made them asymmetric. These days I'm in love with the combination of gold and green.



materials used: hook findings, chain, fire polish beads, lace, shell charm, metal charm

ピアスをつくりました。非対称にしてみました。最近、ゴールドと緑の組み合わせが好きです。

Sweets and Treats

This is a charm for the sweets and treats charm swap. I made 30 pcs for the swap.

First I got metal charms, then I made "cream" on it - you can't eat it, it's made of polymer clay!
At last I added a rheinstone. It made the charm look better, I think.



In Japan, "fake sweets" are very popular. They began to coming in about 2 years ago, and seems as if they will never go out of fashion.

Hope everyone in the group liked this!

チャームをつくりました。スプーン型のパーツに、樹脂粘土（とその他諸々の混ぜ物）をしぼってクリーム風にして、ラインストーンをのせました。
フェイクスイーツ人気は、まだまだ続いていますね。意外と息が長い。

キット交換会をやりました。上の写真が私がKAORIさんに送ったキットで、下の写真が私がゆっこさんからもらったキットです。
ゆっこさんのキットはもう、さすがというか何というか、私のツボがよくわかっていらっしゃる…
今回の交換会、届くまで相手はヒミツ！な会だったんですが、主催する側は自分の相手が誰だかわかっているのでドキドキが少なくちょっと損した気分（笑）

charms for Valentine's day

Sorry I've been a bad blogger - I said neither Merry Christmas nor Happy New Year!
Something has happened in December and I had to receive counseling treatment for a while. It was the worst holiday season in my life but now I'm alright.

Last week I made some charms for the valentine charm swap.

I used wood beads and handmade polymer clay flowers. I painted small hearts on the beads but not shown on the photo.

altered board book - cover

I'm taking part in altered board book swap hosted by Cathy and I started making my book today.
I completed the cover. I will do inner pages next month.

My partner's favorite color is green and she likes foreign print, she does not want her book to be girly or frilly.

I like green too, and I can get "foreign" print easily (as I am in Japan).
But this swap is a bit challenging for me - I have a daughter and I scrapbook for her so it's my first time to make something not girly.

And, this is my "not-so-girly" cover.


altered board bookなるものを作る交換会に参加しておりまして、今日つくりはじめました。
私のパートナーは緑が好きで、あと外国の紙モノが好きで、ガーリーな感じは嫌だと言うのですが、これが結構難しい。
緑は私も好きだし、外国の紙モノなんて彼女にとっての外国である日本にいる以上簡単に入手できますが、娘がいるのでどうしても何をつくるにもガーリーなんですよ私…
ってなわけで、ガーリーでないもの初挑戦ですが、どうでしょう。

I love the idea of this swap. Making 25 different pages is too difficult, making 25 identical pages is easier. And I'll get 24 wonderful pages made by others. What a great idea!

I sent my pages out on Wednesday, and Angie received them today. Wow it took only 3 days from Tokyo to Texas!

違う日付のものを25枚つくるとなると、絶対途中でネタが尽きることは目に見えています。だってクリスマスネタで25種類もひっぱれないって！
でも同じものを25枚つくるのは簡単。疲れるけど。

international Christmas card swap

I'm planning on hosting an international handmade Christmas card swap. I'm in Japan and I hope to have people from all over the world.

---INSTRUCTIONS---

In this swap you will make 3 or more Christmas cards (or season's greeting cards) and send them to me.
(Size: preferably 4 1/4" x 5 1/2")
Each card can be the same or different, your choice.
You will receive as many cards as you make, for example if you send me 5 cards then you will receive 5 different
cards back.

**about the cards**
Cards must have an envelope to go with it. Just make sure they are a size to fit in an already assembled envelope or you will need to make your own envelope too.
Inside of each card please write or type sentiment, or you can draw, paint, place photos instead.
Quality work only, please. Make something you would be delighted to receive.

**mailing instructions**
Please place your Christmas cards in a plastic bag for waterproof purposes.
Include a self addressed return envelope.
Please stick a Post-it on each card with your name on the post-it, or put each card with its own envelope in a separate baggie with your name.

**return postage**
For the return postage you can paypal me or send me US$ in cash.
To those who will pay via paypal I will send an invoice after sorting the cards, so please let me know your paypal account.
Those who will pay in cash, please include the same amount as it cost to ship plus $3. (if it cost $10, please send me $13. extras will be returned.)

**due date**
All the cards must be in my hand on or before Novemver 15th.
I will sort the cards and send them to you on November 20th,
so please make sure to be in time, otherwise your cards will be returned.
Usually it takes 5 to 10 days from the US to Japan. From Europe it takes 7 to 12 days.
Sometimes it takes longer because of the customs.

昨日の黒に続き、こちらはオレンジのLOです。
主催するのは大変疲れる作業ではありますが、楽しかったです。（でもまたやりたい、とはしばらく言えない（笑））

BLACK - for colors swap

This layout is for my recent international "colors" swap. In this swap each participant pick a color and it's the theme for her layout.
My color for group 1 was black. (4x4, double sided)

COLORSという交換会を主催しました。またしても、インターナショナルな感じで。
この交換会では、好きな色を選んでその色をテーマにLOをつくります。2グループあるんですが、グループ1で私は黒を選びました。写真ではわかりにくいですが裏面には白のチュールを縫い付けています。ラインストーンとかマジックメッシュとか使っているんですが見えますか？（汗）
グループ2ではオレンジを選びましたので、明日はオレンジについて書きます。

I love those prima flowers (can you see in the photo??).


She also sent me clothes for my daughter.


Rhondaさんからも福箱が届きました。たくさん入っていました。特に、プリマのフラワーは、普段プリマの購入を（ご予算の関係で）ためらってしまいがちな私には嬉しい。
娘の服までくれました！これは季節的に来年かな。入るかな。

グリマーミストをゲット！ずっと欲しかったんです。あと、お菓子たち。体重増は避けられません。

pink ATCs

Today was the due date of the international whimsy jar swap and these are the ATCs for the swap. (In this swap the jar must contain at least two handmade ATCs or greeting cards.)




I used pink paper for my ATCs because it's my partner's favorite color.

And now I am looking forward to receiving mine - can't wait!

福袋交換会用ATCです。（福袋に必ず手作りのATCかカードを入れるルールなので。）
今日が交換会の締切でした。案の定駆け込みでした。
パートナーの方がピンクが好きだというのでピンクな感じにしてみました。後は私の分を受け取るのみ、楽しみです。

Postcard Swap

I'm in a postcard swap hosted by LadyBones. Last week I received a postcard from Glenda in Philippines. She also sent me some homemade notecards, I love them so much!


Speaking of Philippines, my sister studied in Ateneo de Manila university for a semester as an exchange student and I visited her last year.
Manila was so exciting and I liked it.

I sew sunset at Manila Bay, it was so beautiful and I'm happy to see the sunset on the postcard.

LadyBonesさんに誘われまして、ポストカード交換会に参加しています。（好きなときに送ればいいというゆるーい感じが私向き）
それで先週、フィリピンのGlendaさんからポストカードと手作りのノートカードが届きました。
フィリピンといえば、妹が留学していた関係で、私も昨年マニラに行きました。マニラ、私は結構好きでした。
マニラベイからの夕日がきれいだったんですが、まさにポストカードに写真がのっていて、ちょっと嬉しい気分。

After taking these photos I placed photos of my Chip and Dale pins collection, then put some embellishments. I used many buttons because Cathy collects buttons :)

一応、秘密にしておかなきゃいけないので、CJが終わるまでは完成版の写真は公開しません。この写真を撮ってから、私のコレクションの写真を貼って、飾り付けて、完成です。
Cathyさんのコレクションはボタンとのことで、ボタンをたくさんつけました。
ご本人も見てるかもしれないので英語じゃ書けませんが、何も降りて来ないまま締切に追われて作ってしまいました。

CJ - Wendy's journal

This month I worked on Wendy's journal. Her theme is "Advice to a child". Hmmm it's so hard for me. I have a child but I too am like a child. Don't know what to advice.

Anyway, this is the photo of my pages. (unfinished)


I am looking forward to the next journal, but the next one is delayed due to the very strict customs inspection, so I don't know when it will come to me.

今月のCJはWendyさんのジャーナルです。テーマは「子供へのアドバイス」、これもまた難しい…私も子供はいるんですが、私自身子供ですから、何か言えるような立場ではない（笑）
次のジャーナルは遅れているようなのでいつ届くやら…カナダの税関はとても厳しいようです。

CJ entry for Shona's Journal

This month's international circle journal was a bit tough for me. Shona's theme is "art", I love this theme but found it difficult.

I decided to make a layout of my favorite artist, Roy Lichtenstein. I love how he use dots in his artwork, so I used dotted paper.


After taking this photo I placed some photos on the journal. I'm interested in architecture, package design and product design and I used photos of those.

Then I added some round-shaped embellishments such as pearls, buttons, rheinstones to make my layout more dotty (dottie??).

今月のCJはかなりキツかった…Shonaさんのテーマ"art"は、すごく好きなんですが実際やってみると難しいなぁと思って。
結局、リキテンシュタインの絵を使うことにしました。彼のドットの使い方が好きなので、PPもドット柄のものを選びました。
上の写真をとった後、写真を貼って、エンベリッシュメントをつけました。写真は、建築物とパッケージとプロダクトデザイン関連の物を使いました。メーカー勤務だからプロダクトデザインには興味大アリです。
エンベリは、こちらもドットっぽく見せるためにラインストーン・パール・ボタンなど丸いものばかりを使いました。
