Things are...

Here is my DT layout for Sketches with a Twist:

Supplies:
cardstock - core'dinations
patterned paper - Pink Paislee, Sassafras Lass, Cosmo Cricket, Prima Marketing
chipboard - Jenni Bowlin
clip - Tim Holtz

This time I tried to be a minimalist.
It was not easy - I placed and replaced paper pieces again and again.

I love this title, "Things are only impossible until they're not".
When I have a problem these words make me a bit relaxed.

And it goes great with these pics. A baby grows up way too fast.
Even though something seemed to be impossible for him yesterday, he can do it today.

Based on this sketch:

Sketches with a TwistのDTレイアウトです。

girly girl

Here is my DT layout for Sketchabilities:

Supplies:
cardstock - core'dinations
patterned paper - BasicGrey, 7gypsies, daisy d's, K & Co.
pearl, rhinestone  - Prima Marketing
sticker - Making Memories
brad, chipboard, trim, tab - BasicGrey
ticket - Tim Holtz
other - resin flower, masking tape, magic mesh, vellum

My daughter dressed up on my brother's wedding, and she looked so girly.
She seemed she was enjoying her dress, but she didn't like to have flowers on her head.

beauty - PMB #16

3 DT layouts are enough to keep me busy, but this month I made the 4th layout for Pages of My Book #16.
They have Rahel Menig as a guest designer this month - Rahel's creations are so inspiring and I'm addicted to her style. So I thought I must be in!

And here is my take:

Supplies:
cardstock - core'dinations
patterned paper - Prima Marketing, Pink Paislee, 7gypsies, My Mind's Eye, Webster's Pages
chipboard - Jenni Bowlin, Pink Paislee
sticker - Prima Marketing
glitter - Martha Stuart
twine - My Mind's Eye
other - paper doily, vellum, badge, tulle, resin flower

Close-up:

For the banner part, I curved a stamp by myself. See this post for a bit more about this stamp.

The title is "beauty is in the heart of the beholder" - whenever I see my daughter, this phrase comes up to my mind. She might not be beautiful for other people, but for me she's absolutely beautiful, especially when she shows me such beautiful (and sometimes funny) smile.

I love their inspiration board as always:

handcurved banner stamp

I hand-curved an eraser to make a stamp for my latest layout.

I traced a banner shape:

Then rubbed the traced shape to an eraser:

Then curved:

And done!

haircut

Here is my DT layout for Sketchabilities #65:

Supplies:

patterned paper - Sassafras Lass, Pink Paislee, 7gypsies, BasicGrey, Glitz, Prima Marketing

sticker - Jenni Bowlin

chipboard, brad - Sassafras Lass

tab, lace trim - BasicGrey

other - pom-pom trim, sewing pattern, dymo

My daughter's first haircut - I bought a book titled "haircut at home" and I cut off her hair.

I loved her new style, and so she loved.

Teachers at her nursery school asked me "did she go to a hair salon?" and I (proudly) answered "no, she had her hair cut by me".

I used a pie chart to show how I felt after haircut - kawaii (cute) / yatta (I did it) / niau (looks nice) / mijikai (short).

I think I did a great job, lol, and since then I sometimes cut her hair. Snip snip...

sketch:

flower necklace

Just saying hello to my readers - I have no layout to show you here at this time.

Fabric flower necklace - I bought a kit and made it.

Will be back in 5 days, with my new layout for Sketchabilities :)

Here is the sketch:

The twist for February is using something green - this month's twist is by me.

The pics on this layout, especially ones on the right and center are my favorites. Needless to say I love seeing my children be happy together :)

Sketches with a Twistの2月のDTワークです。
